Cleaning Guide After Each Use

After Frothing Milk

1. Turn the steam knob to the off position and remove the steam wand from the milk cup.
2. Turn the steam knob to the steam icon and release steam for 60 seconds to flush away milk residue.
3. Wipe the steam wand with a damp cloth and remove the cover to clean the inside.

After Brewing Coffee

1. Discard the used coffee puck and remove the filter from the portafilter. (Align the marking dot on the filter with the groove on the portafilter.)
2. Rinse the filter thoroughly under running water. Soak the filter in a descaling solution for 60 minutes, then brush and rinse it with clean water.
3. Rinse the portafilter, including its inner and outer holes, with clean water (Do not use a descaler, and do not put it in the dishwasher, as it may cause discoloration of the handle.)
4. Dry both the filter and portafilter with a clean cloth.
5. Wait for the machine to complete heating (all buttons illuminated). Press the single cup button once to rinse the group head. Wipe off coffee grounds from the group head with a clean cloth.
6. Empty and rinse the drip tray, then dry and replace it.
7. Wipe the machine with a clean cloth.

Descaling the machine:

1. Prepare the descaling solution: Mix the descaling agent (25g) with water (1000ml) and pour it into the water tank.
2. Place a container: Put a large container under the brew head and steam wand to catch the water.
3. Turn on the machine: Plug in the machine and ensure the control knob is in the “Standby” position.
4. Activate descaling mode: Press and hold the power button for 6 seconds until the “Power” and “Standby” indicators flash.
5. Start descaling the brew head: Turn the control knob to the “Single Cup” position. Water will flow from the brew head. After 2 minutes, the indicators will flash to signal the next step.
6. Descale the steam wand: Turn the control knob to the “Steam” position. Water will flow from the steam wand. After 2 minutes, the indicators will flash again.
7. Clean the machine: Wipe the brew head and steam wand with a damp cloth.
8. Rinse the water tank: Remove the water tank, rinse it thoroughly, and refill it with fresh cold water.
9. Rinse the steam wand: Turn the control knob to the “Hot Water” position. Water will flow from the steam wand for 2 minutes, then the indicators will flash.
10. Rinse the brew head: Turn the control knob to the “Double Cup” position. Water will flow from the brew head for 2 minutes, then the indicators will flash.
11. Finish the process: Turn the control knob back to the “Standby” position. The machine is now ready to use.
