Important Notes
-
The size of the coffee grind affects the rate of water flow through the ground coffee during extraction and the flavor of the espresso. If the grind size is too fine, water flows too slowly during extraction, the coffee will be over-extracted, and the espresso will taste bitter. Meanwhile, if the grind size is too coarse, water flows too fast during extraction, the coffee will be under-extracted, and the espresso will taste watery.
-
The grind size selector has numbers (0-30). The smaller the number, the finer the grind size. The larger the number, the coarser the grind size. Rotate the bean hopper to adjust the grind size. It is recommended to start at number 15 and adjust according to the flavor you like.
-
The Steam/Hot Water function can operate during grinding or extraction due to dual heating systems.

Milk Frothing Tips

Milk Choice: Use whole milk (not skim milk) for frothing. The ideal temperature for milk is 3-8°C (37-46°F).
-
Milk Amount: Use about 100 mL of milk.
-
Milk Frothing Cup: Use a 300-350 mL stainless steel milk frothing cup.
Milk Frothing Guide
-
Ensure the STEAM / HOT WATER Indicator is illuminated.
-
Point the steam wand at the drip tray or milk jug.
-
Turn the Steam/Hot Water Dial to STEAM. Allow water to purge until steady steam appears.
-
Switch the dial to STANDBY before inserting the wand into the milk to avoid splashing.
-
Insert the wand tip 1–2 cm below the milk surface, near the pitcher wall (3 or 9 o’clock position). Quickly return the dial to STEAM within 8 seconds.
-
Frothing Completion: Stop frothing when the milk reaches 60-65°C (140-149°F) or when the base of the milk frothing cup is too hot to touch for 3 seconds.
-
When frothing is complete, turn the dial to STANDBY and remove the jug.
-
Clean the wand with a damp cloth, then purge it by turning the dial to HOT WATER for 3 seconds. Return to STANDBY.
