Other function ——Optional Pre-Infusion Methods – GEVI

To offer more extraction options, the machine supports two different pressurized pre-infusion methods.

Gentle Pre-Infusion

At the start, a certain amount of water is infused into the tamped coffee grounds, then pauses for 3 seconds to allow the coffee to soak before resuming with a steady water flow and pressure.

Gentle pre-infusion creates a balanced-tasting espresso.

Distinct Pre-Infusion

At the start, a certain amount of water is infused into the tamped coffee grounds, then pauses for 5 seconds to allow the coffee to soak before resuming with a steady water flow and pressure.

Distinct pre-infusion creates a sharp-tasting espresso.

Pre-Infusion Method Programming

Note: System will exit programming if there's no operation for 15 seconds, and changes will not be saved.

Press and hold the EXTRACTION Button for 2 seconds until the GRIND AMOUNT and EXTRACTION AMOUNT Buttons begin to shine slowly.
Press the GRIND AMOUNT Button to select the pre-infusion method:
1. Gentle Pre-Infusion: 1 Cup indicator illuminates.
2. Distinct Pre-Infusion: 2 Cup indicator illuminates.
Within 15 seconds, press the EXTRACTION Button to save and exit the program. The upper indicators will flash to confirm the settings are saved.
Within 15 seconds, press the POWER / GRIND Button to cancel and exit without saving. The button lights will flash red to indicate the settings are not saved.
